Who we are

Communities Against Predators is a nation-wide organization based out of Redmond, Washington. We started as a group of concerned moms talking on a school playground, and we've grown into a (c)(4) non-profit with independent state chapters and now our baby, PlayGround Watch.

PlayGround Watch will be a (c)(3) non-profit (paper work takes forever), operating in conjunction with multiple state organizations. Washington State is the pilot.

Communities Against Predators is working diligently to teach parents, care-givers, and community members that we are our own first line of defense against predators, and between our families and child predators.

The guy with the camera taking pictures of a kid, or the van that's been in the parking lot of the baseball field for two weeks, or the broken glass near the play structure... are you willing to step up and take appropriate action*? Then you're on PlayGround Watch.

*Appropriate action involves non-violent common-sense safety precautions like asking the man why he's taking pictures, calling the non-emergency number at the Police Station to report the van's continued presence, and calling the Parks Department to report unsafe playing conditions at the playground.
